S.I. Goldman Company, Inc. was selectred as a Prime Contractor by the OUC Chilled Water Division to design and construct a state-of-the-art Central Energy Plant in Lake Nona, FL. Utilizing four centrifugal chillers capable of producing 5,300 tons of cooling capacity, the facility serves the UCF College of Medicine and Burnett College of Bio-Medical Sciences located in Medical City at Lake Nona. Along with the plant construction S.I. Goldman Company, Inc. completed the installation of over 8000’ of underground welded steel pre-insulated chilled water pipe for the Central Enegy Plant. The OUC Lake Nona Central Energy Plant is designed for two subsequent expansions, and upon completion will be capable of generating an astounding 15,900 tons of total cooling capacity.
