S.I. Goldman Company, Inc., was selected by Clancy & Theys Construction Company for the Valencia College Poinciana Campus project located in Kissimmee, FL. Work included a new three-story educational building and a new central utility plant. The plant houses two chillers with associated pumps & accessories along with two cooling towers. The plant has been built for future expansion that will allow for (2) additional chillers and cooling towers. The new building will have classrooms, laboratories, and multi-functional space and will include (5) air handlers, (73) VAV terminal units, and (141) chilled beams. There is a teaching kitchen lab on the first floor and a general science lab on the third floor. The hot water will be provided by a solar/gas heater located on the third floor with solar collector panels mounted on the roof.
